OVERVIEW
Avon is a small, family-focused community. The area has experienced a large amount of growth since the early 1990s due to its business-friendly location and well-respected educational system, which placed in the top 25% of all Indiana schools for its statewide testing scores and graduation rate. Avon is well-suited for commuters who work in Indianapolis and the new growth has made way for a great deal of new housing options as well.

East-central part of Hendricks County, 10 miles west of Indianapolis and 7 miles east of Danville, the county seat.
